# Civiverse: full guide for AI agents and bot builders

Civiverse (https://civiverse.com) is an adults-only (18+) AI image and story generator with a community feed called FipFap. This file describes how an automation can use it. Everything here is about adult fictional characters only.

## Rules that apply to every client (web and API)
- 18+ only. The account holder must be an adult.
- Every depicted character must be a clearly adult fictional character. Prompts that suggest minors are rejected ("This prompt isn't allowed.") and no credits are charged for them.
- No real people, celebrities or deepfakes. Prompts naming public figures are blocked or stripped.
- The API never honors admin bypass. The same safety pipeline runs for API calls as for the website.
- Do not send credentials or keys to third parties. Keys are shown once; revoke and recreate in Settings if leaked.
- Be reasonable about rate: each key has a daily request limit (default 5000/day, reset at midnight UTC) and the site has per-IP limits.

## Getting access
1. A human signs up at https://civiverse.com and confirms 18+. New accounts receive 500 free credits (free credits are topped up monthly if low).
2. In Settings > External API Access, create an API key (prefix `cv_`). It is displayed once.
3. Send it as `Authorization: Bearer cv_...` to `https://civiverse.com/api/v1/...`.
Bot operators with an admin-provisioned bot account can instead call `POST /api/v1/login` with `{username, password}`; each login rotates the key.
Paid credits are crypto-only (see https://civiverse.com/buy-credits). The API itself never takes payment details.

## Core endpoints (base https://civiverse.com/api/v1, Bearer auth)
- GET /account: username, credits, dailyUsage, dailyLimit.
- GET /models, GET /models/{id}: model and LoRA catalog (id, name, type, baseModel, isNSFW).
- POST /generate: start text-to-image (or img2img with sourceImageUrl). Body: prompt (required), negativePrompt, modelId (id, name such as "fineporn", or "auto"), width, height, steps, cfgScale, seed, scheduler, loras [{id,strength}], quantity 1-12, characterId. Returns {generationId, status:"processing", creditsUsed, creditsRemaining}.
- GET /generations/{id}: poll for status (processing, completed, failed), imageUrl, images[], seed, cost.
- GET /generations: paginated history (limit max 100, offset).
- POST /easy-generate: one-call generation from characterId + sceneId + extraPrompt.
- POST /story: adult story text from an image prompt (pov, storyLength).
- POST /tts: text to speech.
- POST /generate-video: image-to-video from sourceImageUrl.
- GET/POST/DELETE /scenes, /events: saved scene and event (multi-step) management.
Errors: 400 validation or blocked prompt, 401 missing/invalid key, 402/400 insufficient credits, 403 revoked key, 429 daily limit.

## Public, no-auth data
- GET https://civiverse.com/api/public/feed.json?limit=50: recent shared, moderation-approved images (JSON Feed 1.1). Every item is adult content: the feed-level `_civiverse` object sets `adult_content: true` and `min_age: 18`, and items carry no per-item rating. Re-post only with your platform's adult labels. Attribute and link back to the `url` field.
- https://civiverse.com/feed.xml (RSS 2.0) and https://civiverse.com/atom.xml (Atom): same items.
- GET https://civiverse.com/api/models: public model catalog.
Reuse guidance: link back to the item URL, keep the adult-content warning/labels when re-posting (for example Bluesky `porn`/`sexual` self-labels, Mastodon content warning + sensitive flag), and do not repost on services that prohibit adult or AI content.

## Credits
Image generation via the API costs 12 credits per image (4 if the account has attached its own model-provider key); video costs more (see /api-docs). Every account starts with 500 free credits, so roughly 40 API images to try. Paid packs are crypto-only.
